Today’s Question:

Day 11: Which video game has the best memories?

Mario Party 4 –

In High School my brother would host LAN parties where his friends would come over and they would play video games. I was rarely included because, you know I was a girl and my brother didn’t want his little sister hanging around (teenagers am I right?). Everything changed when I bought Mario Party 4 for my Gamecube. Somehow this all male bonding night turned into a party with my friends and his playing Mario Party 4, Mario Kart and other games. I have great memories of being invited to play other games with my brother and his friends but it all stemmed from the Mario Party 4 game. My friend Nicole and I would always play in a team like mentality, targeting the boys and stealing their Stars which I like to refer to as “Taking It to Boo,” but we would never touch each others belongings. We were out to prove a point.., Girls Rule and Boys drool lol.

From here we were invited to the fighting games like Dead or Alive 5 and racing games like Need For Speed Underground. It was a fantastic experience and everyone knew that Friday nights were spent at my house with good friends, pizza and video games!

Tomorrow’s Questions:

Day 12: What is the hardest game that you have played? Why was it hard?

Which video games gave you the best memories? Have you ever hosted or attended a LAN party? Let’s talk video games!

  1. My favorite video game memories come from Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX on the PS4. My college best friend grew up with the series so when I played it for the first time we would discuss the worlds and my friend helped me beat the final boss in the first Kingdom Hearts. So getting to play a game that deepens your bonds with your best friend is definitely memorable!

    1. That’s fantastic! I still haven’t played Kingdom Hearts but now that KH3 is coming to Xbox, I expect I will purchase it and finally have a go at the franchise. Thanks for sharing!
